At Slinky Pinks we have over 400 sample dresses in our shop ranging from size 4-24 ready to be tried on. Please note that we do not hold new dresses in stock (although we do have a discounted rail of ex-sample dresses). Once you have chosen your perfect style and size, we require a non-refundable deposit (a third of the value of the dress) and we then order a brand new one in for you (subject to availability).
Lead times do vary depending on whether or not the dress is currently in stock with our suppliers. You will be made aware of the lead time at time of ordering and we will never take a deposit on a dress if we can't guarantee delivery in time for your event.
Once your dress has arrived in the shop, we will contact you to arrange for you to collect it and pay the balance. As a small shop, we have limited space to store new dresses, so we do request that you collect within three weeks of us contacting you.

Our prices range from £220-£550.
Our simple dresses with no embellishment are at the lower end of the range and our heavily embellished dresses and fishtails are at the top end.
Each Prom and Evening Wear appointment is 1.5 hours long. This gives enough time for browsing and then plenty of time to try on your chosen selection of dresses. Most girls decide on their dream dress then and there but if you do require a second appointment, we limit this to 30 minutes.
For Prom appointments, all girls must be accompanied by their own parent/guardian.
Whilst we appreciate that choosing your Prom dress is a big event for many girls, we are only a small shop and so we prefer that you only bring one parent/guardian with you to your appointment. If necessary, however, we will accept a maximum of two. Unfortunately we cannot accommodate children.
As a small shop with limited changing rooms, we stagger appointments so that we can offer the best one-to-one service. Unfortunately this means that we cannot offer friends appointments at the same time.

We keep a school register which means that we will never sell the same dress (even in another colour) to the same school for that Prom. Once you have placed a deposit on a dress, it cancels that style out in all colours to anyone else from your school. No one wants to turn up to Prom in the same dress as someone else! (Please note, we cannot be responsible for similar dresses purchased from other shops).
Of course - we are here to help! We recommend that you have a browse of our Instagram page in advance of your appointment and also google some images of Prom dresses to get an idea of what you like. When you come to your appointment, however, we do encourage you to try on a variety of styles as we are all so different and you really can't tell what will suit you until you try. Some girls have a very clear idea of what style and colour they want their dress to be but if you're not sure then don't worry as by trying on, you'll soon find out what suits you and what doesn't.
Absolutely! We have a 24 hour cancellation policy and you can cancel or rescehdule your appointment via our online booking system. We do ask that you let us know as soon as possible as at peak times we are extremely busy and have waiting lists for appointments.
We don't offer refunds as we order dresses in specifically for customers and once they are ordered, we have to pay for them. All deposits are non-refundable. Our sale rail and ex-sample dresses are also non-refundable.
Most dresses will need to be adjusted on length depending on how tall you are. We do not do alterations at Slinky Pinks but can recommend a couple of local seamstresses (although we take no responsibility for any work undertaken by them).
